A Life of Ferns – Talk by Julian Reed

Julian Reed is a national treasure in the fern world.  He was a plant manager at Polhill Nursery before retirement and now  holds the National Collections of Polystichium and Polypodium ferns. Julian has won gold at Hampton Court and is a regular exhibitor at Wisley with the British Pteridological Society’, of which he is a prominent committee member and author. He has given talks to the RHS, and he tours the country regularly giving entertaining talks about the life of ferns.

Julian, a self-confessed ‘fernaholic’ will discuss his life within the fern world, competing at RHS Flower Shows, the importance of the fern collection at Brantwood and the current ‘fern project’. Julian will be happy to answer any questions and ID any fern fronds or pictures.

Tickets £10.00 (includes a glass of wine or soft drink)

In the Loft at Brantwood.  The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.
