The competition

- The title of the competition is Beautiful Brantwood.
- Win a 2-night stay at The Eyrie, our stunning self contained penthouse apartment, located in Brantwood itself. Immerse yourself in the beauty, colour and landscape that inspired John Ruskin through the spectacular lake view windows overlooking Coniston Water, before experiencing an exclusive VIP tour around Brantwood and much more, during your stay.Our competition winners will also enjoy an evening meal with a bottle of wine delivered to the Eyrie from the Terrace Kitchen plus a lovely breakfast hamper for two. Winners can book their own dates to stay with us during spring/summer 2024. (Subject to availability).

- Accommodation is suitable for adults only.
- Pets are not permitted in the Eyrie.
- Dates are subject to availability.
- Closing date is 30th September 2023 at 12:00:00.
- The prize is for a maximum of 2 adults 18 years or over sharing one kingsize bedroom.
- Arrivial is from 1pm.
- Departure time is 10am.
- Due to the historic nature of the property we regret there is no accessible access to this accommodation. Accommodation can only be accessed via an outdoor stone stairway.

How to enter
- The competition will run from 09:00:00 on 24th August 2023 (the “Opening Date“) to 12:00:00 on 30th September 2023 (the “Closing Date“) inclusive.
- All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 12:00:00 on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
- To enter the competition:
- enter the competition online by submitting the online entry form provided on https://www.brantwood.org.uk/beautiful-brantwood/ by the Closing Date.
- No purchase necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
- The Promoter will not accept:
- responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
- proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
- By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

- The winner will be chosen at random from all valid competition entries.

Eligibility
- The competition is only open to those aged 18 years or over, except:
- employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
- employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
- members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
- In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
- Winning entrants agree to the use of their name, county of residence (if such competition winners are resident within the UK) or country of residence (if such competition winners are resident outside the UK) and one or more photographs of themselves in any publicity material and to co-operate with or participate in any other reasonable post-competition publicity.
- Entrants agree to the use of photos submitted as part of the competition on The Brantwood Trust social media channels in connection with the competition.
- The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
- automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
- completed by third parties or in bulk;
- illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
- photocopies and not originals; or
- incomplete.
- There is a limit of one entry to the competition per household. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
- The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

The prize
- The prize consists of the following:
- a 2-night stay at The Eyrie.
- an exclusive tour around Brantwood.
- an accommodation meal for two and one bottle of wine (or an appropriate alternative at the discretion of the Promoter).
- a breakfast hamper for two.
- The 2-night stay at The Eyrie is for 2 adults aged 18 years or over for 2 nights between 1st March 2024 and 31st December 2024 (dates are subject to availability which can be found at https://www.brantwood.org.uk/the-eyrie/). The prize does not include travel insurance, the cost of transfers to and from airports or stations, food and drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner(s).
- You will be responsible for ensuring that you and any person travelling with you are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents for the holiday in question on the travel dates specified.
- Prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize.
- The prize is supplied by the Promoter.
- The prize is not transferable.
- No pets are permitted in the accommodation, service dogs are not pets for this purpose.
- In order to claim the prize you must reply to contact attempts by the Promoter and indicate acceptance of the prize through email or telephone.

Winners
- The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
- The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry.
- The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails enquiries@brantwood.org.uk or writes to the address set out in Condition 1 (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Closing Date of the competition.

Claiming the prize
- If you are the winner of the prize, you will have 14 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by reference to condition 5.7. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
- The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
- The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
- The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

Data protection and publicity
- The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy see https://www.brantwood.org.uk/privacy-policy. See also condition 3 and condition 6.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.
- The completion winner agrees to the use of photos submitted as part of the competition on The Brantwood Trust social media channels.
- The competition winner agrees to the use of their name, county of residence (if such prize winners are resident within the UK) or country of residence (if such prize winners are resident outside the UK) and one or more photographs of themselves in any publicity material and to co-operate with or participate in any other reasonable post-competition publicity.
- Information provided by entrants will only be used in connection with the competition unless:

General
- If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
- The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
- These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
