Group Bookings

Brantwood is full of interest for group visitors. The spectacular position of the house with views over Coniston Water and the fells, a 250 acre woodland estate with 8 distinctive gardens, John Ruskin’s home full of his art and memorabilia, exhibitions to view, the Coach House gallery for contemporary art and craft purchases, plus the Jumping Jenny restaurant make for a varied and interesting visit. We recommend a minimum of 2 hours for a group visit.

We have free car and coach parking. A “meet and greet” service is available and guided tours of the house or gardens can be arranged if pre-booked.

A great way to visit Brantwood with a group is to come across by boat on either Coniston Launch or Steam Yacht Gondola. Both have regular sailings to Brantwood’s private jetty thoughout the day. Coniston Launch can be boarded from either Coniston boatlandings or the Waterhead Hotel, situated just outside Coniston village. A combined ticket is available offering groups a reduced admission price into Brantwood. See Brantwood Direct for details. Steam Yacht Gondola sails from Coniston boatlandings to Brantwood at 11am, 12noon, 2pm and 3pm.
