Overlooking Coniston Water with spectacular views of Coniston Old Man, there is no more atmospheric place than Brantwood for a business meeting or training event. Experience John Ruskin’s legacy and inspiration at Brantwood, the most beautifully situated house in the Lake District. Renowned as a writer, artist, poet and thinker, Ruskin’s home is a treasure house of art and memorabilia, reflecting the huge variety of his interests. A true `blue-sky` thinker, Ruskin’s ideas still resonate today.

Brantwood can offer two wonderful spaces for conferences and workshops. Within “The Eyrie” apartment on Brantwood’s upper floor, a large schoolroom is located and is fully equipped for presentations, meetings or training events. Other rooms are also available as breakout areas. This space can accommodate up to 30 people, depending on the arrangement required for the space. Above the Terrace Coffee House and Restaurant, the Coach house loft can seat a maximum of 80 and is excellently positioned with views over the Lake and facilities for lunch in the Terrace just below. For a large group, we would recommend buffet catering be provided within a room to the side of the main loft space.

Please note – access to the Eyrie and Loft rooms is via a set of steps.

Brantwood’s extensive woodland estate and lake shore offer ample opportunity for team building activities.

There is free car parking in Brantwood’s main car park or why not use the Coniston Launch ferry service to arrive at our jetty with your group.

Hire rates:

Up to 10 people: £125 per day School Room or loft hire (minimum hire charge)

11-20 people: plus £8 per additional person per day

21-30 people: plus £6 per person per day

Both the School Room and loft hire rate includes use of audio visual presentation equipment, wi-fi broadband internet access, breakout room facility and the provision of tea and coffee. Please enquire for further details, on either room hire or catering for your meeting.

Hire rates are also available for the Severn Studio on application.

 

Self catering or B&B accommodation available at Brantwood in the Lodge. Sleeps up to 9 people in two twin rooms, two double rooms and a single.
