Enjoy the superb setting which inspired John Ruskin. Recently renovated, self catering accommodation is for hire at Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin from 1872 until 1900.

Situated on the upper floor, the `Eyrie` has spectacular views over Coniston Water and the fells beyond. It has beautiful interiors with original artworks and is furnished to the highest standard for a comfortable stay. Accommodation comprises one double bedroom, large kitchen/diner and a Drawing Room with one of the best views in the Lake District. Access is via outside steps, giving onto the gardens and woodland of Brantwood’s 250 acre estate..

Guests are welcome to enjoy the exhibitions and historic collections whenever they wish during opening hours.

Weekly rental and weekend breaks can be booked all year round:

Prices until end of May 2010

• £100 per night for short stays
• £20 supplement for 1 night stays
• £650 for a week

Prices from June 2010

• £150 per night for 2 nights (minimum stay)
• £100 per night for succeeding nights
• £750 for a week
