Activities
Lace making demonstrations, guided walks, readings, trails, quizzes and an art and drawing activity room, there’s lots to do during your visit.

Ruskin Lace Demonstrations
Discover the art of Ruskin lace making. Demonstrations every Thursday, throughout the day, from April to October. No additional admission charge.

Guided Walks
Explore Brantwood’s fascinating and extensive estate with one of our very knowledgeable guides. April to October: every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 1.30pm and Sundays at 2.15pm. No additional charge. No pre-booking required.

Ruskin Readings
Listen to excerpts of original Ruskin read by Pat Crellin.
11th March, 15th April,  13th  May,  17th June 2008.
From 2.30pm.
No additional admission charge.

Easter Woodland Orienteering Trail
21st March to 6th April 2008.
Discover  the many varieties of tree on Brantwood's estate. No additional charge.
Part of  "Flora of the Fells Festival".


Talks
"Ruskin at Brantwood" by Freddie Harris.
10th June, 15th July,  12th August,  16th Sept 2008.
2.15pm until 3.15pm in Brantwood's Studio.
Admission included with house or Garden ticket.  Optional guided tour of the house with Freddie included for those who purchase a house admission.

Children's Activity Workshops
7th,  14th,  21st,  28th August 2008.
10.30am to 12.30pm, Thursdays.
£5.00 per child. Suitable for children aged 5 to 10 years.  Children under 8 years old should be accompanied by an adult. 

Apple Orienteering Trail
26th to 27th September 2008
See if  you can find "Old Fred" or "The Beauty of Bath", as well as many other apple varieties. No addition charge. Part of  "Flora of the Fells Festival" and Coniston Walking Festival. 

Trails
Let the children discover Brantwood’s gardens with a trail written specially for them. No additional charge.

Quizzes
A range of house quizzes are available for children, suited to differing age groups. No additional charge.

Linton Room
Art and drawing activities are available for all the family to have fun in the Linton Room. Open from Easter until mid November. No additional charge.
